Jewelry by artists.
We will visit an exhibition dedicated to jewelry made by artists such as Auguste Rodin, Max Ernst, Salvador Dalí, Georges Braque, Man Ray, Pablo Picasso, as well as many others at Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, Palau Nacional, Parc de Montjuïc, 08038 Barcelona on Saturday, November 27, 2010.
See the webpage for the exhibition here: Jewelry by artists: from Modernist to avant-guard.
Here are the arrangements:
- Saturday, November 27, 2010. We will meet as from 11.30 for a 12.00 start.
- Arrive in time to buy your ticket. Online ticket buying doesn't seem to be operational for temporary exhibitions such as this one.
- After obtaining your ticket, meet in the Cúbic restaurant and cafeteria, located in the Museum's Oval Room. Look for the Advance Communication logo. I will be sitting down, drinking a coffee and holding the logo:

- The visit will finish around 13.00 and it will be in English! Don't worry about English levels for anyone you want to invite. We can all help with translation.
- Early lunch/snack in the Cubic or the Oleum to mix and talk. Here is the Oleum lunch menu. See what you think.
Please let me know by email before Tuesday, November 23, 18.00 if you will be coming.
The works on show come from public institutions and museums all over the world, as well as from private collections and from the MNAC's own collection. In particular, the exhibition will include works from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art and Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée Rodin, Paris; the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; the Institut d'Art Modern (IVAM), Valencia, the Foundation Gala-Salvador Dalí, and the Museo de Bellas Artes, Bilbao, amongst many others.
